Dallas, Texas, June 16, 2007 – NIDO held its AGM and Board Elections. Election to the Board of Directors is based on regional representation per the NIDO by-laws and the Electoral Committee’s guidelines.
At the AGM in Washington D.C. in 2005, the general membership passed a one-time proposal to provide for 2- and 3- year board membership terms on a voluntary basis for each region in order to stagger membership on the board. This means that each AGM becomes an election AGM starting with this one in 2007 (2-year terms will be contested in 2007, while 3-year terms in 2008, and so on)
The following individuals were elected by their regional constituents to serve on the Board of Directors for a 2- or 3-year term.
REGION ONE: Northeastern States—Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and New Jersey.

REGION TWO: Atlantic Seaboard States—Delaware, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia.
· Mr. Brian Udejiofor – 2 year tenure
· Dr. Lawal Garba – 2 year tenure
REGION THREE: Southeastern States—Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.
· Dr. Joe Igietseme – 1 year left in tenure
· Dr. Victor Ozieh – 2 year tenure
REGION FOUR: Great Lakes States—Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Minnesota.
· Mr. Robert Ngwu - 1 year left in tenure
· Mr George C. Ogbonna Sr. - 2 year tenure
REGION FIVE: Mid West/South Central States—North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana.

· Dr. Jimmy Etti-Williams – 2 year tenure
REGION SIX: Pacific/Rocky Mountain States – California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Alaska, and Hawaii.
