Important NIDO-Americas Inc. Announcement (September 15, 2007):

We are happy to announce that the NIDO Board Officer issues have been resolved. Many thanks to Ambassador Usman Baraya, and members of the Nigerian Embassy staff for facilitating the resolution. We also thank all the NIDO members and the Friends of NIDO that were there to enhance the success.

At this time, this is now the position:

1. NIDO-Americas has only one board.
2. All NIDO-Americas Board members are still serving in their capacity as board directors.
3. Mr. Robert Ngwu and Dr.Ola Kassim have vacated the NIDO Chairmanship Position.
4. The former Vice Chairman Lawal Garba is now Co-coordinator of the NIDO Coordinating Committee.
5. Secretary: Dr. Victor Ozieh remains the Secretary of NIDO Americas
6. NIDO-Americas Coordinating Committee was formed.
The committee was charged to:
a. Work on the ByeLaws – ensure that the NIDO-Americas ByeLaws is reviewed and amended as soon as possible.
b. Plan for the next Annual General Meeting.
c. Work on rebuilding the Image of NIDO-Americas Inc.
d. Represent NIDO-Americas during the up-coming Presidential visit

We are happy that NIDO Americas can now move forward and encourage all Nigerians to support the organization by working together to accomplish its mission, for the benefit of Nigerians in the Diaspora and Nigerians at home.
